2010 Bowman Chrome Baseball

My first bout with 2010 Bowman Chrome baseball came in the form of a three pack (plus x-fractocs) blaster from WalMart. This first card is one of those special x-fractors of Adeinis Hechavarria of the Blue Jays. 2010 was his first professional season and he is regarded as one of the top shortstops in the minors drawing comparisons to BJ Upton and Alfonso Soriano.
This is a Topps 100 refractor /499 of Chris Carter. Carter has hit 92 HR's in the minors since 2007, that;s the most of any minor leaguer. Carter is poised to have a big season this year.

Here's a blue refractor of Cardinals' Tommy Pham /150. I got some pretty good cards in these packs including a Jonathan LuCroy rookie and a USA baseball card and I love Bowman Chrome, so it was well worth it.

Trade from Jason

Cardboard Heaves is on facebook and while there I was contacted by Jason who, in exchange for some Packers and 2010 Football rookies sent me four Brewers cards that immediately make my Brewers collection a lot better.
This one is probably my favorite. A Rickie Weeks auto and jersey swatch is my first auto of the stellar second baseman. Weeks is one of my favorite Brewers right behind Braun and Gallardo. The auto is also on paper, which I like more than the sticker.
This is a Prince Fielder prospect card that is numbered to /75. This card happens to be the first one made, which makes it even more rare. I have a couple Fielder jersey and bat cards, but this is the rarest card I have of him and definitely adds to my continually growing Prince Fielder collection.
Best photo from 2010 Topps? I think so! The Brewers know how to have fun and this has got to be one of the coolest celebrations in sports. Barry Zito and the Giants weren't too fond of it, but they managed to get over it and win a World Series. I really hope Fielder stays a Brewer, but that is looking more inevitable with each passing day. Him and Braun make quite a combo though...
Well whaddaya know! Bernie's Bash Brewers; Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder. One of the best young hitting duos in baseball (Jay Bruce and Joey Votto might be the next similar duo). Oh by the way this card is numbered to just 59!

I encourage all of you to find Jason on facebook (follow the link at the top of the page or find him on Cardboard Heaven under friends). He definitely gave me a stellar deal on these cards and I will be doing more deals with him in the future. He collects mostly Packers stuff and I know he's looking for Clay "the Sack Meister" Matthews cards right now, so find him and make a deal!
